Holy crap, why did I not start watching One Punch Man earlier? This is the best thing.
probably figured an autobiography wouldn't be interesting

I only got 4 hours of sleep last night but I'm only feeling minor effects of sleep deprivation. In such a good mood right now and I've been smiling all day.

I knew I watched that weird Coen Brothers film for a reason.
I never would have got the joke otherwise!

Also, Grim is a badass fucking name.

Thanks!  I'm quite pleased with how well he lives up to it.  His favorite things are chestbursters and Slenderman.

Grim (My 6 yr old son playing a game): "I just beated that guy up!"
Me (casually walking by): "You're so mean!"
Grim (without hesitation): "No! I'm badass!"

Is it strange that moments like these make me feel proudest? :P
This is so great.

You should have corrected his grammar, though.

Well, what I actually said was "You're so mean, beateding people up!"

Not exactly a correction, but I like to work at this like that in a subtle fashion.
While I commend you in your spirit of being a sarcastic git (ily salmy), if Grim doesn't actually know the rules of grammar, then he won't know you're mocking him, and just think that is actually how it's said? I mean, you said it too, so that must mean it's correct.

I do direct corrections here and there, but they take a lot of time and don't really get results.  I think kids know from exposure how things are supposed to sound, but they just don't listen to their own words the same way they do to other's.  If you repeat their own language back at them, it sinks in well enough over time, without the "aaargh dad I don't care I just want to tell you about ____!" type of reaction getting in the way.

Aye, Vec. I agree that his is the better route for most mistakes. Was just thinking of the foundational step. Having Grim know what Salmon is doing. Which seems to be in order. :P

I just know that I would probably be a sarcastic git without thinking of "Hey wait they might not know what I mean here..." :v It's different when it's someone elses kid, when you're not in the moment.

He'll get that corrected at school. I think having a pa who's on his side is more important.
This is a good point.

Also salmon has a good point, too.

Yayyy!

Also, I just fought a land-shark-frog thing, and beating it made me happy (didn't do well enough to go in *own* thread :P). Simply being able to share that, as well as knowing I have co-workers who love games too, makes me happy.
