I love throwing in a throaty growl right before the 'sh' sound.
That's not wrong at all.

oh man I dun know that lady but she roasted Ramsay so hard he turned to carbon
Oh man, Haspen...you need to look up Julia Childs. She was one of the original cooking celebrities before Food Network made it popular, and an all-around great lady.

I don't like people who think Gordon Ramsay is just a bellend. He's actually a great guy, the shouting is just for his American shows, because that sells there. He's even been an ambassador for Britain, cooking for the religious leaders of Malaysia :)
There also seems to be a difference between how he's presented in his American shows vs British shows. In the British ones he's raw, always driving his chefs to be the best they can be, yet in the American ones they have dramatic zoom ins and music on everything he says, focusing in on how roasted his chefs are instead of how they are improving with his criticism :[
The rap doesn't even give him a single line about his perfectionism, only his Hell's Kitchen lines, being to them merely the chef who says fuck.

Yea, Gordon is actualy a pretty swell guy overall, plus he's an actual world class chef who can back his fame with pure skill, which is more then what can be said for a lot of people who take part in cooking shows. Plus he's a lot more tame nowadays then back when he spoke full scottish accented english. There's some videos of old gordon on the internet, and goddamn he was a full ball of perfectionist rage.

Plus LW is right about his presentation in amurican shows. Amurican shows always follow this pattern of weird artificially dramatic things in which Gordon is clearly acting at least half of the time, and there's always at least 3 chefs that make into the shows that are obviously just there for laughs and to get eliminated, like that one guy who somehow made it into hell's kitchen (or was it master chef?) who literally cooked canned meat during a test and then tried to fight Gordon when he didn't like it. Like, I'm not a world class chef, but I refuse to use canned meat in my own house :v

One of the only two excuses for canned meat is pea soup. The recipe is already built to be make use of lower-quality ingredients than most dishes, so it fits right in. The other excuse is camping trips, where food needs to be packed tight and often goes unrefrigerated for days.

I really like canned meat as its own separate thing. It goes really well with buckwheat, especially if you use the stock when cooking it and wrap the pot up in something warm for ~20 minutes afterwards.
That's mostly a camping trip thing for me as well, though.

Spam or any another brand of canned meat should never be used in any recipe that calls for meat. If it calls for canned meat, that's okay, but an entirely different matter.

There's something oddly calming about thinking on the universe's inevitable end, at least for me.

One quote on these forums is "DF is doomed. It won't survive the heat death of the universe. But that's not particularly relevant to performance issues" or something along those lines. The same idea could be applied to humanity. In other words, in the long run (Really long run, for us at least), nothing really matters. And I'm fine with that, even though that means nothing really matters. Probably because that means nothing really matters (If any of that makes sense).

I think there might be something wrong with my thinking (or me), but that, well, doesn't' really matter. Besides, that doesn't mean I'll stop doing things, I'm just not being as worried about it.

Sigh

The science channel has this show called "What on earth"
And they are talking about the giant concrete arrows across America.

They are making theories like did it help with the gold rush? Were the free mason miners the reason for this?

No no no NO you freaking idiots, one quick google search will show that these are freaking air mail markers to help pilots know what direction they are going.

And they keep saying this lady's internet research....

Oh oh they just brought up the pony express bit ignoring the fact that this is for mail

Oh wait they finally got it
There ya go
Good job you idiots

How else can you pad something that can be explained in two sentences into a 30-minute (or however long) program than by adding complete BS into it?

I suppose looking at other people's lies can be quite entertaining.

That's the whole point of fiction, eh? Interesting lies.
