No, it's a direct sequel of Paranormal 17.  Zathras, Janus and Jim sit around for 5 days doing nothing.

Incidentally: add Bastard Mystery Madness to planned games.  I think I got this worked out.

Well, Paranormal 17 is done.

What should I run next?

I say Supernatural Mafia, on account of having missed all the summer fun when they were running.

But I'm not picky. I'll play whatever.

The whole reason Supernatural exists is to split the themes...

I'd vote for either another Paranormal or Supernatural.  Maybe leaning towards Paranormal because I want to see one of the new Aliens in play (Spore Spreader / Hivemind) and see what that does to the game.  But Supernatural would be fun as well.

I would be in favour of Paranormal 18, rather than Supernatural, if only because after having all the rules rattling 'round my noggin for a month, I'd rather reuse that instead of starting from scratch with another set just as complicated.

...but I'm also OK with either choice, and I'll in anyway.

I'm not saying the setup is bad or anything, I just don't like Wizard Duel all that much. It seems other people agree with me.

I'd like to play a Supernatural while we digest what we've learned role-wise from the last game of Paranormal and discuss changes.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Oh, yeah -- totally forgot Wizard Duel. I'd probably not in for that, not a big fan. I'd prefer Paranormal, but would be happy to play Supernatural, or any sort of bastardish/roleheavyish thing Meph decides to host.

...speaking of which, dudes! Sign up for Person's BYOWH! If you wait too long, it will no longer be seasonally accurate!

On other things, Argembarger: I extend to you the same offer I made to Toaster & Janus: if you want, I can pop into BMXVIII once every few days and post a Lurkertracker, assuming I have the time. No effort on your part is needed other than to say the word; if you don't, I'll assume you don't need my verbose help, no big deal. This offer is open to any other mods of ongoing games, except for those where I'm in... if I'm in it, then you are getting them, whether you want them or not, since it's up to the player to post whatever he wants to post. (Well, I guess if you really don't want them, send me a PM and ask nicely, and I'll stop. Maybe. 8-P)

I'd say either Paranormal or Supernatural.

I liked Wizard Duel.  It's a nice twist on the standard game format.  However, WD4 suffered from poor activity.  I'm not sure if it was a general dislike of the format or board-wide low activity (I suspect a bit of both), but in either case I would suggest shelving it until we have better all-around activity.

I came up with a great idea for a Bastard Paranormal. So I'm going that next.

Still need to hash out some details, but I'll at least stick it in the queue.

I hope it has plenty of room, because it's going to get crowded in there fast.

Haven't decided the actual max yet. But I will probably be a little more stringent on people joining who haven't played a Paranormal before. Paranormal can be a bit nasty with all the complications by itself, let alone one designed to be hard.
