So, I've finally got my hands on a copy of The Hobbit. I haven't got past Mirkwood, in fact, barely past Beorn, but I've noticed that some events here aren't exactly correct. For example:

At least in the 1999 paperback edition I've got here, Beorn doesn't become enraged, and is in fact, quite amused by the story.
I'm not sure who's the object and who's the subject when there is an announcement like "Bilbo Baggins, Burglar has become an enemy of Gollum.", but depending on the relationship, it may need to be changed, as Bilbo Baggins felt his famous pity towards the Gollum then.

I meant who's whose enemy. Especially in relation to DF announcements. And whether in DF announcements it matters - can one entity be hostile to another while the opposite isn't true?

As of Beorn's rage:

Well, to me Beorn sounds completely pleased, that is quite the opposite of enraged. I know he growls before that when the dwarves come in, but it seems to me more from impatience to hear the rest of the story than hard feelings.
