How would that work?

I could see something like a Serial Killer that can "kill" and take over a player's identity, ala the Advanced Doppleganger working, only they could do it multiple times, and would be on a solo scumteam (in addition to the main one). Every time they choose a new target, the true body of their victim would be discovered, so it would be apparent that the Shifter had once killed them, but has now moved on... or it could be left generic too. Either way, they might benefit from no-killing too, and lurking in a given identity for a day or so. Might err on the less-strategic and more frantic and paranoid side; you'd be looking for changes in behavior from everyone almost constantly. The idea is a bit remeniscent of "Who Goes There?"

Yes, pretty much.  For balance reasons, each discarded form of the SK would probably have to trueflip.

All right, looks like we have 13 players. That's...kind of appropriate, I guess.

Anyway, I'm going to get the set-up going and I should have the game started this afternoon.

  The town was a small, sleepy place. Nestled amongst the foothills of a great mountain range, fed by a crystal stream and sheltered by the leaves of centuries old trees. A place untroubled by war, famine, or plague. A perfect place to live.

  Until now.

  Several days ago you were awakened by a scream in the night. Old lady Migabee's door was open, her house empty. The next night, another scream. This time from the woods, a young boy sent out to collect firewood who never returned.

  Something dangerous has come. Something evil.

  Who, or what, you do not know.

  Last night, whatever it is, it took the Mayor's life. On his desk you found a notice he was drafting. It gave instructions for the town to gather and root out this evil by the light of day when dark things are at their weakest. And, so, in memory of your beloved town leader, you have set out to do just that.




Day 1 has started. It will go until ~5pm Pacific Thursday

I've tried to balance this out the best I can, but since this is the first round, well...we'll find out. Hopefully it'll be fun regardless.
