Increasing the number of dwarves/points at embark?

Is it possible to do this?

Might be nice to have one or two extra dwarves for defensive purposes when embarking in hostile areas.

I believe the friendship enhancer can do that exactly, just edit the embark file that comes with it.

Also, points should be editable in worldgen perameters. (?)

Not that I've ever seen, but it's really easy to find with Cheat Engine. I mean, after the tutorial, it took me 30 seconds, and I am a complete noob to mem hacking. REALLY EASY.

Hm... I haven't had time to actually check out worldgen perameters ingame in .31 yet (yes, I am that woefully unprepared), but I saw it as an option in PerfectWorldDF, and that only really edits worldgen.txt. So unless it's just a dummy function or there's something more involved going on, that feature has to be in there somewhere.

Hmm. Just opened up PerfectWorldDF and I didn't see it in there. Could you kindly point me in the direction?

The option for embark points is very near the top of the list, should be in the first parameter screen in DF, under "number of embark points"

Does anyone know what particular files would have to be edited in order to be able to choose the number of dwarves you start with?

I'm a newb to modding but I wouldn't mind looking into making something from scratch...

That's not possible without memory hacking, hence the point to the Friendship Enhancer.
