I will post a journal most likely in the morning or at least before Monday. As for my availability, I am free for the week as university is out for now, but weekends are not recommended as I work as usual.

Sorry for the rant as to the location of my character. I normally don't call rogues squishies but I suppose it is possible, so next time I'll be a bit more careful as to my wording.

I forgot to ask, did we get any exp for those bats?

Hey, I just noticed RAM's post at the very beginning of the thread! With that in mind, here are some tropes that apply to Arrus:

Quote from: Arrus
So, do we pull a Belkar on them, or what?
Murder is the Best Solution

Quote from: RNG
d20 = 1
Quote from: Arrus
...
Failed a Spot Check

Quote from: Arrus
HP=21, AC=14
Squishy Wizard

Quote from: Arrus
RAY OF FROST!
Quote from: Shoruke
It's out of range.
Quote from: Arrus
MAGIC MISSILE!
Calling Your Attacks

Also, everybody got 660 exp for that encounter. And finally, my vote for the surprise session goes to whenever works best for everybody else because I could make either Sunday or Monday. Or Tuesday, come to think of it.

I'll put a journal up tomorrow.

Is it just me or is it odd that Nael could get exp for standing in the middle of combat paralyzed? Then again he was the one that started it...

anyways another combat sequence and a journal and I should be level 4 !

(I think) I'm good for any day this coming week other than Monday and Tuesday.

Journal on the way as soon as I finish an actual writing assignment.

Where are we on the map in RAM's first post in the thread? I see no desert...

EDIT: Also, do we have another rogue in the party?

DOUBLE EDIT: Also, also, has everyone voted for the sand-ship's name?

TRIPLE EDIT: I just noticed; on Maelrigar's character sheet he has the cantrip Create Water. I can't find that in the spell list though. What's it from.

If I said that it was able to be selected due to my worship of Procan, would you believe me? Actually, I think I just mixed up whether it was a cantrip or orison. I'll re-choose in the morning, unless by some stroke of fortune Shoruke is okay with sorcerers taking cleric spells.

I believe it's in the cleric spell list in the DMG.

Create Water is on the druid, cleric, and paladin lists in the S.R.D., also in the P.H.B., but I somehow doubt that it has a prominent position in the D.M.G., although it might appear on an N.P.C. and/or N.P.C. class spell list, and maybe even in the lists of wands/scrolls/potions...

Here's my journal:

Spoiler: Van's Tale, 4th Issue (click to show/hide)

And no Mission it is not odd that you got experience from being paralyzed. So did I. You can actually get experience in some campaigns by running away, so no it isn't all that strange.

I didn't actually do anything either. The batmen were running away from what I could tell, and they were out of my range anyway. Since the right thing was a little hazy, I just let them go. They did do the first attack, but we did the first hostile action. (Unless the batmen had some ranks of Spellcraft, which I doubt since their only means of defense seemed to be screaming at people)

I did move so that I could defend our wizardly folk just in case they came back, but by then the fight was over.

Edit: Shoruke, can I change Knowledge (Architecture and Engineering) into a class skill? I know it isn't listed in one in any of the books I've seen, but it only makes sense that a fighter would be trained in the elements of Siegecraft from a non-magical perspective. (Page 122 of Complete Warrior recommends it for exactly that purpose, in fact.) and change the 1 rank I have in it to 2 ranks? (Keeping the same number of points invested)

Edit again: Guys, make sure all your journal entries are listed here.

I guess the bonus session will be on Monday, then? Or if it's today, when does it start?

Oh, can I have xp for my journal? I believe I shall level off of it so- What happens if my journal is worth 400 xp when it starts but 500 when it finishes?

Anyway, levelling awaits!
