Yes, this is still running, We are always getting new members, and I would suggest reading through the OP. If nothing else I would read the characters, and other rules and whatever sections. Remember, you will be ret-conned into the game, so there is no character introduction; you just start.

We don't really have many melee characters, so a barbarian would help immensely. Right now we have level 2 as the starting level. I hope you can join.

We are getting closer to balance when it comes to warriors.

ok then I'll roll a lvl 2 half orc barbarian according to the op rules and report back here. I should warn however that this will be my first ever D&D game so you'll have to be patient.

*edit done
when is the next game?
and could I get the direct connect info for the server? (ip and port)

The next game should be on Saturday. We normally start at around 11:00 pm GMT, which generally is in the late afternoon to evening if your in North or South  America.

As for the direct connection, you can just use the maptools server list to select the server mentioned in the OP.

Sure you are! It's actually easier than being a squishy - it's harder to die, oddly enough.

Spoiler: Vaba's Journal (click to show/hide)
Also, woo-hoo I leveled up!  My sheet does not have the HP done since I'm not sure if I have to roll that in session or what.
Lastly, I take the +1 longbow.  I figure wielding two bows and three quivers would be pushing my luck so not the arrows.

So, tomorrow I probably won't be at the session, unless my parents suddenly decide to let me on the computer for fun for several hours while I have an English paper due Monday.

I disagree.

Squishies die when they act foolish sure, but front Lines is usually susceptible to the nasty magics that the squishies have nice resistances to.

We got a nice balance of squishies and Warriors now though, so I don't see why he couldn't be whatever he wanted to be. Me, Van, and Uskton are all fighter types. Of course that includes a warrior, since we can always use one more to rush blindly through traps that we have no scouts to disable for us...

I find that frontlining is actually a lot simpler than being a spellcaster, because there's less stuff to keep track of. Keeping track of how many shots of each spell you have left gets to be pretty time-consuming at higher levels. Arcane casters take forever to create/level up, because you have to read every available spell and guess which you'll need most, while divine casters can take forever to pick their spells every morning.

Game in 2 hours, 13 minutes. In theory.

You know, I just looked at the age statistics and noticed something. Uskton is 20 years old.
Dwarfes reach adulthood at 40. 20 years for a dwarf is like 7 for a human.
It actually makes sense for him to have a teddy bear. :o
