Libertarians are people who think that "starving to death in a cardboard box because no monies" is an inalienable human right.

No, they think that anything the government should do results in the maximum amount of individual freedom for any one person possible; everyone has the most amount of control over themselves as possible. Similarly the Libertarian-right do not go around demanding that everyone starving should have the right to eat cake or whatever, they rely on the assumption that people are good willed and that charity will persist. It's unfair to say that the desired effect is for mass starvation any more than communists desired mass starvation [Stalin aside]. There are also Libertarians more to the left who support welfare systems of various sizes and so on. The core tenet of Libertarianism is liberty. The tea party are a poor representation, nobody knows what they're doing.

The core tenet of Libertarians is freedom in the same way that the core tenet of Communism is equality.
It's in the HOW that libertarianism falls completely apart (and I say that as a former libertarian).

Anyways, this belongs in a politics thread, not the WTF thread.
