The Bay 12 Games Report, November 1st, 2010
Mission Status (Threetoe):
Let me tell you something. There are so many features coming out this month for adventure mode you will be astounded. Traverse the land with the new travel map, but watch the sun bar on top. You don’t want to be caught out after dark. At any moment you could be ambushed by ghastly night creatures, goblins, or worse. Castles await, filled with lords and ladies waiting to send you out on quests to slay mighty monsters. Can you enter the Minotaur’s labyrinth and live to tell the tale? All this and more has already been prepared and only needs a few more days of debugging before the release at the beginning of this month.
November is the month of the town. Pigs, sheep, and the long awaited chicken will be found in villages across the land. Farmers will sell their raw material to the towns which will use them to make even greater objects. The caravan arc will come back from the dead as merchants tote their goods from town to town, fair to fair, right up to the door of your dwarf fortress. The availability of goods will reflect the world’s landscape. These units making their way across the world is only the first step on the path to great armies planned for the end of the year.
