After getting over the initial shock, I decided to embrace the truth of ants.

I just watched the first episode of an anime my nephew mentioned to me called Elfen Lied...

It gets better after first episode, and then worse. Much worse. Too bad anime ends it only half way through the manga story. Manga ending was awesome...

Holy crap, this mod better be awesome, because it takes forever to download, forever to UNZIP (I have never seen anything take longer then a minute or two to unzip) and 90% of the comments were along the lines of "I can't get this to work right"

I literally bought the game because of the mod...well also because I had the game before, but the vanilla game is a difficult, buggy mess, if fun for such.

Game is Pirates of the Caribbean (the 2003 Bethesda one) and the mod is "New Horizons" or "Build 14"

They're black ones. I have the same problem every month of spring and sometimes summer. I use those ant traps that are supposed to kill the nest with poisoned food, but they keep coming back. I have no idea where the queen is, since the ants are everywhere in the garden and invade the house at different places (most commonly in my bedchamber).

Are you in fact also an ant Queen? The good news is they're not trying to destroy your house, but appear to be trying to conquer it. I suggest breeding more soldiers.

So whilst looking for reasons to panick about the future I found a neat thing about panicking in the past. It's from one of those websites telling you to BUY GOLD BUY GOLD for when everything goes to hell so you know it's premium terror.

That is why I constantly wonder how humans in NetHack survive day-to-day.

Thankfully there's the Square/Cube law that basically says insects can't grow too large or their joints buckle and they crush themselves to death.  It's a wonderful law and everyone should read it at least once.

Nah, man. Insects could get humongous. It's oxygen, not square-cube law, that prevents them from growing too large. Only in oxygen rich worlds can they get big, unless they develop some form of lung and circulatory system.

Bosnian war not an uprising; Bosnians, Croats and Serbs all fighting to kill one another. War got so bad you had an entire family reunion of extremists fighting one another, islamic terrorists fighting orthodox neo-nazis and soldiers couldn't be trusted to guard you as much as shoot you. Hundreds of thousands died and everything went to shits.

Tried to quietly remove my cat from my room. (Cats like to make noise in rooms at midnight.)
As I half-tiptoed, half-dashed back to my room, I turned around to shut the door, and the cat was sprinting through the doorway. Surprised me pretty badly.
