That's just Toady trying to cover up the fact that in the future, when DF is basicaly skynet and has time travel, through annoying time paradoxes alien realy is refering to DF.

Sometime ago I saw some Cartoon Network thing on youtube. I had to do with dwarves and elves and fighting a war over some cookie recipe. In the end, it "tasted like my cat."

It seems highly unlikely, but I can't think of any other explanation. If it is a DF reference, it's a pretty terrible one. You don't make reference to something by just randomly throwing its name in with no context.
