Deep within the heart of a volcano on a remote, uncharted island on the Pacific Ocean, nine cloaked figures stand around a strange, pulsating stone. Their hands, outstretched to the stone, seem to be giving off trails of a strange smokey substance. As the smoke gets absorbed by the stone, it slowly becomes colder and darker. The seal has been weakened, the ritual can soon be performed.
The nine sit and rest, their life force drained. It will be a few days before they will have the energy to perform the ritual without dying. Their dark master, though immensely powerful and magnificent, will be in a very vulnerable state upon being released, and He will need caretakers that are alive.
The nine clear their heads for meditation. Each of them imagines the void, just as they have been taught. Suddenly... yes! His consciousness, tangible at the fringes of their own! All nine clear their minds further, to allow Him access.
The nine recoil, as if their brains had been struck. The will of the Master is clear. Two must die, their treachery laid bare. But...
Which two is it?
The head of the Order, Toaster, walks in, followed by his lackey, IronyOwl. They have, apparantly, also heard the call of the Master.
IronyOwl has always seemed shifty, as if his heart wasn't quite in the right place, as if he didn't quite agree with the wonderful works of the Order. But Toaster insists on keeping him around, so, whatever.
Toaster, on the other hand, is a welcome sight. Surely he, with his wisdom, can help the nine find and kill the two traitors!
