Right now, I'd take the inspection. I'd try and use both charges before claiming, by the way, because if I only use one before claiming, a thief will almost certainly steal it. If not, even if I get protection, I could still get the last charge drained, killed through protection, daykilled, ect. Lots of crap that could happen. However, after today, I'd rather have the kill. I'd prefer to just get rid of the scum directly rather than try to convince people. However, once lylo rolls around, I definitely want the inspection again.

   For those worrying about someone having the ring lets go over some facts as of this moment.

• There are 10 eligible people to receive the One Ring
• There is a 1% chance that a person will get an artifact
• There are 15 other artifacts even if someone manages to get an artifact

   Ergo it is incredibly unlikely to get an artifact this early and the chance of getting a specific artifact is lower. Not to say we should not plan for what happens if some scum gets an artifact but to focus on the One Ring specifically is small minded.

The one ring is a Very Pro scum item.
No townie would want to get that item, It's disadvantages vastly outweigh its single advantage...
At best it would be used before a Lynch or lose day.
Which will only occur a couple of days from now.

As Akhier has pointed out, there is a 0.625% chance of actually getting the Ring, so it is utterly pointless.
Also, unless the ringbearer is shit and gets killed, being announced confirms him.

   It is not a confirmed townie. The message happens whether a townie or scum has it so if a scum manages to get it from a town before the message they could just use it till message and then trick us all.

   The legacy weapon is more of a scum artifact because it allows them a kill that does not reveal that it Was a townie that was killed.

   It is not changing! I used the first question where I voted you to fish for reactions. I used wording specificly to try to get your dander up. I keep referencing it not because it is my reason but because I used it to get the response that IS my reason for keeping my vote on you, IronyOwl.

You've said on separate occasions that it was just an excuse, and that it's what I was doing. This is going back to the former, though it's also the first time you've claimed it was specifically worded to rile me up.

Furthermore, if you're going with the first story, you've yet to account for how convenient it was that you grabbed an excuse that you were then able to run with for entirely different reasons.

How does the prospect of getting a different item in between uses affect your decision? If you knew you were going to get a one-shot kill tomorrow, would you still prefer a two-shot inspect today? Which would you use the second night?
