Artifact inside an artifact?
« on: April 15, 2011, 12:11:28 am »

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure my dwarf is about to use one of my artifact gems to make...an artifact gem.

If this is true....am I about a season from being nuked with FBs?

Wait.
I guess it could be possible to use a perfect gem to make a gem craft, but...

No idea, really.

Are you sure that artifact gem in the workshop has TSK on it?

Even then, it could still be tasked for hauling though.

At least yours doesn't have 73 images of itself.
True...but I don't know if you remember me saying this in another thread...but this is an gem artifact that references an artifact maker and their artifact, which referenced another artifact and its maker...

This happened about 7 times, and all of them were in the same ACTIVE military squad. Somethin' ain't right with my fort.

Dwarves carve about things they like. Since they hang out with the squad a lot, they tend to like eachother. Not as much as the navy, but they do tend to like eachother.

I don't think they have much time to socialize with each other when they're training, though. He did say it was an active squad.

Meh. They see eachother more. I don't know, just trying to use logic. (worst game ever to use that.)

These dwarfs ain't right. It was a cup that referenced a cup referencing a cup. I guess the other artifact wasn't used with it, it was just tasked for removal. I'm okay with that though, I don't know if it being used would consider it destroyed, thereby angering a military dwarf.

Artifact destruction/loss doesn't affect the dwarf's mood if I recall correctly. My fort's first artifact, a crossbow, got stolen and the creator merely shrugged had nothing to say about it.

Urist mc Militia #1 Strikes at Urist mc militia #2.
"So, how are the kids? they good?"
Urist mc Militia #2 dodges the strike from Urist mc Militia #1.
"Yeah, theyre doing good, you heard about the incident with Urist mc Stupid and the Forgotten Beast?"
Urist mc Militia #2 Counter attacks.
Urist mc Militia #1 blocks.
"Oh? Wasn't he that dim one who always went hauling stone from the furthest reaches of the fort to the mason?"
Urist mc Militia #1 charges at Urist mc Militia #2
Urist mc Militia #2 dodges out of the way
"Yeah, thats him, good ridence i say, useless peasant..."

And then suddenly "Agahsdhuh the Ugly one" breaks down the door and kills both of them.

My dwarves wouldn't make an artifact dedicated to their death.

Instead, they'd make an artifact dedicated to an artifact that someone else made that was dedicated to their death.

My dwarves would create an artifact commemorating their death before theyve died.

At least yours doesn't have 73 images of itself.

Only 73 images on a statue?   Try over 165 images on an earring.

Oh, 73 images of itself, I never counted the sheer number of images of itself on that earring. I am not sure I even still have the save with it.
