This should be an interesting game, as I am a new player, having only played DF twice, both times ending in catastrophic failure.
BACKSTORY

It is currently year 5 of the Age of Myth in "The Past Dimension", AKA Adrexah. The historians have only just begun to write down the history of the world, and the civilized races are eager to make some. The Dwarven King decided to send out an expedition team to find a suitable location for their newest fortress, hoping to expand their territory and increase their wealth substantially. Naturally. they sent out their best available dwarves. In other words, 7 lowly peasants. 7 lowly peasants on a quest for fame, wealth, and death. Lots and lots of death.

RULES

1. You will have one week and one day to complete your turn. One turn=one year.
2. No screwing over the next player. While you may consider it fun, everyone else along the line will get pissed.
3. If you are unable to complete your turn in time, you will be skipped, and the previous save will be used.
4. You are not allowed to purposely destroy the fortress.
5. Once your turn is up, put the "Ceilingchew" folder in a .zip file, and email it to the next player, and myself.
6. Once it is your turn, you must post in 24 hours. It can be something like "Starting my turn now." I don't care, as long as we know you're here.
7. First person to call a turn, gets the turn.
8. The only time you may savescum is if you breach HFS. If it goes down any other way, then it's done for good.

I'll join if you'll allow me to use a different tileset, and I'll change it back after my turn I can't stomach the ascii graphics.. drives me nuts.  If not, thats fine as well, as I'll understand.

After your turn you just upload the save, not the whole DF folder. So if I play with ASCII I can just give you the save and you'll play it with Mayday or whatever.
EDIT: Or Ironhand, as I can see by your Cave Challenge fort.

That's what I had thought. Problem is that only one dwarf has a "terrible ability to manage social relationships", and she's female.
@above: What skills and gender do you want for your dwarf?
EDIT: If anyone else decides to join, I'd like at least one more military person. I don't want to be forced to fend off possible sieges myself.

Well, if I can't have my antisocial-ness, just give him some weird trait, like 'always tense and jittery' or 'talks to inanimate objects when bored'.
And sure, he can be a speardwarf.
