Hello b12!

Me and my rarely seen buddy Kujiun have finaly got a maptools server up and running. Now we could run Pathfinder seeing as we have the books, but it seems like there are already quite a few 3.5ish games around.

Instead we would like to take you back to your childhoods with this: http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Pokemon_Tabletop_Adventures

Thats right! A homebrew tabletop game staring every-bodies favorite late 90's/early 00's (heh or present) obsession: Pokemon!

The 1d4chan page should have links to the game files. Go ahead and give it a quick browse, and post here if you are interested in joining. I could dream up a standard gotta catch em all/beat the leauge/defeat the evil team senerio, or I could get creative and use a more exotic setting.

Just tell me what class you would like to play, and what days/times you would be available (I'm thinking Wed or Fri for the first couple sessions and then seeing what happens when school starts). I don't have alot of experience with GMing in general, but a vast majority has come from running this game. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Sounds fun, especially if kept it light hearted-or make it have bloody permadeath. I would love either.  :D

I played the Hell out of the old games-blue version old school. You know, before gameboys had lighted screens...

What times were you hoping to run sessions, if its not too soon to ask?

Most everyone tries their best to make it light hearted.

I'm available... oh, good question. *notices HUGE gaps in scheduling* Weird may need to answer this one first.

Ah, I miss those days.

I'm thinking of either a Wed Afternoon session or a caffeine aided Wed night/Thurs morning. I'm pretty flexible though, and the date and time may have to be shuffled around once school starts in about a month.

If you can think of a better time let me know. For the next month I am working part time with very short and flexible hours. I think I'd just have to ask to change them around a bit.

Well, my saturdays nights are reserved for D&D. Other than that, pretty much free.

Wednesday would be awesome, though. For me at least.

Also, I'm thinking of playing as photographer. There's a nice variety of classes to choose from anway.

Hmm, I'd say we could move foward with four or five players, imho.

hmm, interesting concept. I suppose I could give it a shot. I've played some games with maptool and hamachi before, so I at least know the standards for that.

And while I've enjoyed the pokemon games. I'd rather see a more exotic and freeform type campaign than the standard league journey.

I'm fine with Wed evenings, at least as long as you are talking EST in general.

Pacific time. That would be more along the lines of nighttime for you. The standard league journey is pretty freeform, I'm not the type to put random bushes in your path that can only be broken with cut.

That said I'll think of several setting ideas and run them past you all.

Well this falls under the in general path I believe. as long as we don't go past like 5am EST, I'm pretty good.

Reading the pdf that was linked here. Thinking I'm liking the look of the Psychic path line. Might go for breeder/psychic if I manage the stats. As I understand what I'm reading we don't start off with a class?

I usually start my players higher than level 0, so likely yes. Depends on the setting; if you are a bunch of kids leaving home for the first time you will be level 0 with no class. Most of my settings call for trainers with some experience, and thus I let people make characters with a few levels under their belt and starter Pokemon in the level 15-20 range.

I could deal with starting at level 0ish, actually. Depends how fast we level up, and how much playtime we get in an average session.
