EST is always considered American eastern as far as I know

Well apparently it isn't. I'm not familiar with many different timezones, and I'm sure that some timezones, that share the same acronym, are more commonly used/known than others, but I just listed the possibilities here, as I, like I said, am not familiar with many different timezones.
