No, that would include migrants. This is one of those times where, like in Dwarf Fortress, you actually need more migrants.

I say we got a new rule if it isn't a know friend of the village(Migrants/traders/village members/anything we know is friendly) Just stab it and stab it.
Then how would we know if its friendly?

if it approaches us by the dead of night and has clearly evil characteristics, do not try to reason with it. if it has cute cuddly features, it's probably safe to eat, so do not reason with it either.

That is a rule I could live by, so I agree with this also in the morning we should continue the making of clay bricks, the digging of the lake trench/moat, and the chopping down, and stripping of trees.

I would not be opposed to a humorous little plaque on our village gates that read this.

When morning comes, send Chloe along with an escort into the forest and/or hills to search for medicinal herbs that would be of use to Hans' condition.

The Green slime can be used for glue perhaps? Have Jaian experiment some more about this slime extract.
(Maybe with enough experience, she (she's a she right?) might become a Slime expert? Or what should such a person be called? Slimologist?)

Yeah sure, hang on.
After Jaian is done experimenting, go and see if he can domesticate the land Jaians.

I now vote for our axeman to cut down ALL TREES in the area. Or at the VERY LEAST that one. Anyone with me?

Also, Rolfy keeps apprenticing Arete. We will brick to the heavens.

I am against that. While the trees might harbor dangerous creatures, I am sure they might be helpful in some way as well.
We should wait with that until we run out of building space.

Man, you guys voted murder the hell out of the slimes then voted to try to reason with a thing that has glowing red eyes? Are you for real?

Anyway, we have two real priorities right now:

1) Food
2) Defenses adequate to prevent attacks outright

For matter 2, I recommend we finish our moat.

Think about it, man: ONE of these creatures crippled one of our guys in ONE turn.

With all these trees around, they ALL could potentially spawn one of these creatures! And there's definitely the possibility for them to spawn even more each, since the tree didn't loose a ton of bark after the spawning of one.

We could be attacked from ALL DIRECTIONS, get surrounded, and slaughtered. Think about it.

I agree. I mean, seriously, who thought diplomacy was a good idea.

Who.

*checks*

Tell it to surrender and stick it's hands in the air, or we'll hack and burn it to death. Remind it that it will be painful.

Failing that, Franz hacks at the legs from behind while everyone with spears is stabbing, then Rex will set the creature ablaze while it's on the ground.

+1

I beieve it was.. you.  :o
And Jacen jumped the bandwagon.

Edit: About the trees.. Who says that is the ONLY source of monsters?

Also: Cutting down trees might have been what caused the stick man, for all we known. We'd do better to just make use of things as we needed them, and simply fortify our position as much as humanly possible.
