William looked surprised for a moment before grinning.

"Sorry can't make that sort of promise. Would you like a drink or something?"


"Regardless, I'm surprised that Laythe would offer me such a thing. What is Laythe's offer for me? My lands back, a minor title? Or some other paltry gift? I already have both under the Terrible Twin Tyrants...plus I do have my own nation...so any gifts she gives me would be worthless. Unless it's joint control or a high title with some power behind it."

[Ardas]

He took a sip and then put the cup down.

" Are we alright now? what is your decision?"

[Taricus]

"Erm, I'll have to turn down the drink then. No offense, but I do prefer staying alive.

As for the price, I'll let you offer first, and we'll go from there. Sound good?"

[filiusenox]

"Fine then...How about she marries me and I become king of Ligoria alongside her. That's the only condition to me ever helping the Good Queen Laythe."

She would never agree to that.
That's the point.

William chuckled and leaned back in his chair.

[Taricus]

"Alright, just let me check something..."

the messenger puled a piece of paper out of his jacked, examined it and then put it away.

"Well, It's on the list of terms she'd agree to, So I'd expect that she'll send another messenger after I report back to start the organization of that, or you could go to Galam yourself and discuss this with her in person. Was there anything else you needed me to go over Sir William?"

[filiusenox]

William shrugged.
"Brilliant, I'll make prepera-..."

Then he heard what the messenger said.

"Wait what?! Let me see that, now!"

[Taricus]

"If you're so keen to see it, here. It's on here though."

The messenger passed the note to william, indeed listing marriage as an acceptable clause for an alliance.

"Now, As I said before, did you want me to go over anything else, or if you needed me any further?"

[filiusenox]

"I call bullshit. If this is all true then I want a meeting with Laythe to discuss it face to face."

It could be an ambush.
I know.

"If it Laythe and it's not a goddamned ambush...then we'll talk about it."

[Taricus]

"Very well. Did you want me to inform her that you'll be coming? Or anything else did you need me to do? I do know it is not an ambush though."

[filiusenox]

"Just tell me where to meet her or whatever. I have other more important things to do, like sleeping."

[Taricus]

"Galam, The Citadel. If that is all, I shall take my leave now."

[filiusenox]

"That of course doesn't sound like an ambush at all. Tell her I'll arrive shortly. Oh and tell her that if she does decide to ambush me...I will make her pay in ways only I know."

Huh, I have a feeling Chironas isn't going to be too happy...
Whatever makes you think that.

"Wait, before you go, are you quite sure it's okay if Laythe lets me into Galam's Citadel?"

[Taricus]

"Very well. As for accessing the Citadel, Laythe will sort everything out with Eshir."

[filiusenox]

"Fine tell her I'll be there shortly, wearing my Crimson Guard uniform."

"And you're sure you wouldn't like a drink before you hit the road?"

After the messenger is shown out.

"Fetch my crossbow from Lizzy, if you can Thom."
"Yes sir."
"Do you have doubts about me, going through with this?"
"No sir. We'll follow you into death, that was our vow during the Blooding"

William nodded and stood in front of the window, subconsciously making sure to stand in front of the thick beam.

William will take three guards and head to Galam, making sure to take his crossbow with him. He'll meet up with Laythe at the Citadel.

[Taricus]

"No thanks, I'll carry the message through to her though. Good tidings to you Sir William."

And with that, the messenger left, happy about the hospitality, and overall relieved that he didn't die.
