Edir Avuzanan Asdossarek, the forgotten beast, has arrived!
« on: January 28, 2012, 05:14:03 pm »

An enormous eight-legged quadruped composed of cobaltite. It squirms and fidgets. Beware its webs!

Whoa, wait, what? Eight-legged quadruped. That's eight legs and four...pedipalps? I'm confused.

I'd imagine that it'd have a quadroped's basic build, but that there would be two limbs growing from each...joint?

Luckily, as far as I can remember FB webs are still bugged, so at least you won't have to worry about that.

By the way, can the web carry syndromes?

This is what you get for genetically engineering goats to produce dragline spider silk.

Probably not. Webbing FBs don't have any syndrome tags in their raws, which you can access through various shady means. Incidentally, they also don't have the [WEBBER] token, which means that they don't actually have webs, which means that it's basically a moot point. "Beware its webs!" is broken and nonfunctional at the moment.

So the FB is basically as big cobaltite bug. Cool! Time to ax it to death.

Wouldn't that be like a GCS composed of rock without poison and webs? That could still be very dangerous.

Generally a giant rock can be very dangerous.

Trap it and mass-produce legendary marksdwarves. You can also train legendary wrestlers by incapacitating it with bolts and then ordering dwarves to punch, kick and bite a pile of helpless rock for a couple of minutes.

The rock can kick (I mean, it has 8 legs). I'm pretty sure it's not helpless. I'm gonna mow it down with bolts...as soon as it gets out of the frikken cavern lake.

Hm, I expected alot of 'cling cling' from the dwarves and alot of 'slash GLUH slice' from the spidergoatthing. But I guess who knows with FBs.
