Looks like you're using the Classic version but with the setting to use ASCII turned off, which doesn't work because the Classic version doesn't come with the art assets; only the premium versions come with the graphics, music, and audio assets.

It's strange. I got the free 51.06 version with the modern graphics and I can use DFHack with it without problems. But not for 51.08, for some reason. So the problem lies in DF 51.08, not DFHack.

Where exactly did you download them from? I just grabbed 51.06 from bay12, and all it had was the small handful of images in the "data/art" directory (which includes the window pane borders, scrollbars, and a few other bits that you might see from the titlescreen).

You're supposed to buy that version on Steam or itch.io (for about USD $30) - if you haven't paid for it, you're not allowed to use it.
And you should probably remove that link, lest you get banned from this forum for distributing pirated software.
