Modding capacity?
« on: December 08, 2024, 05:30:23 am »

I kinda want to use armor stands and disable take anywhere for my armor stockpile, but it seems that it can't hold even a full set of armor; the rest just gets dropped on top of it. Note: I'm doing this just for flavor, not for any practical purpose.

I'm a real noob when it comes to modding, so I looked in the vanilla files to find out where I can mod container capacity. The only file I can find that has CONTAINER_CAPACITY is for item_tool.txt. How do I mod container capacity for armor stands and anything else not a tool?

edit: nvm, I just realized that the problem with armor stands is that they can only store one item for each armor slot. So it'll take in one gauntlet and one boot, but won't take the other half of the pairs. Similarly, it can only fit either one chainmail shirt or breastplate but not both. Oh well.

The armorstand to store a gauntlet takes as much space as a whale.

Should be able to force mail shirts etc onto armour stands with dfhack scripting, like, the lua api has a move item to building function i believe?
